Michigan Golf Show
There is a mountain of snow on the ground and a full month of skiing left to winter, but it’s time to kick off the golf season by attending a golf show. Here are some reasons to attend:
1. Escape winter. Are you sick of snow, blizzards and shoveling your driveway? Get out of the cold to experience a taste of the spring that is on its way. It will lift your spirits.
2. Sharpen your skills. Golf pros will be available at most golf shows to offer instruction for beginners as well as advanced golfers. Attend informational seminars or participate in hands-on lessons or skills clinics.
3. Take advantage of specials. Show-only deals will be available for golf equipment, lessons, apparel, “stay & play” packages, rounds of golf and more. The discounts alone make it well worth the trip.
4. Take a test drive. Try out a club before you buy. Hundreds of nets are available for golfers to test the latest equipment from an excellent assortment of manufacturers.

5. Book a tee time. It’s not too early to book tee times at your favorite golf course. Many golf courses offer specials rates for advance purchase of a round of golf.
6. Pamper the ladies. Ladies can take advantage of special offers designed just for them as well as attend special golf show events such as lessons, demonstrations, and fashion shows. Ladies can often get in free on selected golf show nights.
7. Compete in a contest. Enter a longest-drive contest or a best chip-shot contest to win big prizes. The Northwest Michigan Golf show is offering a chance to win $25,000. Other prizes are also available such as a round of golf or a golf getaway weekend.
8. Win prizes and giveaways. Register to win door prizes, drawings and giveaways, including rounds of golf, equipment, apparel and golf getaways at Michigan and out-of-state resorts.
9. Get the next generation started. Bring your children who are ready to take on the sport. Sign them up for junior golf clinics that are designed especially for them. Kids receive special junior giveaways that will surely excite their interest in golf.
10. Have fun with a friend. Attending a golf show is a great way to getaway from the everyday routine to spend time with a friend, spouse or your kids.
