Manitou Passage Golf Club -
On acres of rolling hills lying between Pyramid Point and Leland, just east of Good Harbor Bay you’ll find one of the country’s most peaceful yet exciting golf courses. It’s Manitou Passage, Arnold Palmer’s parkland-style classic. It features a number of challenges including wide open meadows, dense hardwoods, borders of red and white pines, dramatic elevation changes, and water hazards.
The front nine features' holes meandering through, climbing over or dropping down corridors framed by fescues, hardwoods, and pines. It’s eighth hole was chosen by Palmer as one of his best Par 5’s. Play it and you’ll see why.
The back nine is nowhere as hilly but just as challenging. Its finishing hole is a relatively short Par 5 which ends with risk and reward created by a water carry to the green which must miss the bunkers on the left and water on the right.
The course, clubhouse and multi-level, heavily landscaped terrace overlooking No 18 will leave golfers with fond memories. View scorecard Tee time manitoupassagegolfclub.com or (231) 228-6000
